Position Introduction - Grant Funded

The WIC Director will manage the Special Supplemental Women, Infant and Children (WIC) grant funded program. The WIC Director is responsible for overall management and administration of a dual-county WIC program. Assures compliance with state and federal WIC program requirements. Directly supervises employees including the nutritional accuracy and performance of WIC health professionals. Fiscal management of budget. Annually prepares grant application meeting all requirements and deadlines as directed by the Ohio Department of Health.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS and CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN), Licensed Dietitian (LD). Must have completed Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved baccalaureate program and supervised practicum, passed qualifying exam and completed requirements for Ohio Licensure.
  • Two years supervisory management experience
  • Prefer experience with education and counseling in child and maternal nutrition and breastfeeding.
  • Prefer Certified Lactation Consultant or certified in other breastfeeding training.

Salary:  $55,000-$58,000
