Outstanding Dietetic Student

Holly Winfield

Holly Winfield is a second-year graduate student in the Coordinated Program in Medical Dietetics at The Ohio State University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education, where she graduated magna cum laude from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Holly worked to complete prerequisites for her dietetics program while working full time in Ohio State’s medical center to gain clinical experience. After completing the dietetic coursework, a variety of internship placements, and community volunteering experiences, Holly is now a dietitian trainee for a leadership and education program in pediatric neurodevelopmental disabilities (LEND). Holly’s main area of interest is clinical pediatric nutrition. She is finishing her final year of her graduate program while working to complete her thesis, which involves food insecurity and SNAP-benefit using families utilizing a farmers market incentive program.
