Please join us as we learn the importance of policy basics and relationship-building with elected officials as well as the role and impact of the Ohio legislature and other regulatory bodies on the work of dietitians and dietetic technicians in the state of Ohio. Dietitians should be aware and take action to elevate the role of nutrition in health care and consumer protection. Topics and speakers include:
- Role of the Lobbyist, Paul Kudlak, OAND Legislative Agent/Lobbyist
- Importance of legislation, advocacy, and how a licensure compact can benefit dietitians intending to practice in multiple states and tips on how to communicate with elected officials
