Update on SB 211 - Dietitian Licensure Compact

Hearings on SB 211 have started before the Ohio Senate Health Committee.

Hearing 1 - 4/10/2024 Bill Sponsor Kristina Roegner explained the bill to committee members and set the stage for upcoming testimony.

Hearing 2 - 4/24/2024 Four OAND members (Kay Mavko, Wendy Phillips, Cynthia Blocksom and Marcy Cook) spoke to the Health Committee as proponents of SB 211.  The committee seemed quite interested and generally supportive! 

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Charla Burill), Ohio Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Carrie Hamady), and Department of Defense-State Liaison Office (Shane Preston) submitted letters of support.

Three additional OAND members (Lorna Fuller, Lisa Andrews, and Jason Roberts) also presented written testimony to the Health Committee.

The Public Policy Committee thanks everyone who has advocated for this issue so far.
